Full description of the position
This role is a Salary + Commission position. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager / Event Specialist to join our team at a high-volume, full-service catering and events venue. This role is ideal for a hospitality sales professional who excels at relationship- driven selling, understands the operational side of events, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. About the Role This position is responsible for driving new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and managing events from initial inquiry through flawless execution. The ideal candidate is both sales-focused and operationally savvy , with a strong understanding of hospitality systems and event logistics. Key Responsibilities * Generate, prospect, and close new catering and event business * Manage the full event lifecycle from inquiry through execution * Conduct site tours and client consultations * Prepare proposals, contracts, BEOs, and detailed event documentation * Maintain accurate data within CRM and event management systems * Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, and service teams * Meet and exceed revenue and booking goals * Deliver an exceptional client experience while building long-term relationships Qualifications * 5+ years of sales and events experience in hospitality or catering * Hospitality degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience * Working knowledge of: * Salesforce * Delphi FDC * Converge * Microsoft Excel * Proven ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously * Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills * Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through * Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed Compensation & Benefits * Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience * Commission structure tied to booked and executed events * Strong earning potential in a high-volume, established events operation * Opportunity for professional growth within hospitality sales and leadership Application Requirements * Full resume required * Professional references required If you are a motivated hospitality sales professional looking to grow within a dynamic, high-volume events environment, we encourage you to apply.
