Job Summary

Busker Communications Inc. is seeking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales and a passion for building relationships with clients. This role involves engaging with potential customers, managing accounts, and driving business development initiatives. The Sales Representative will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Technical Knowledge of Low Voltage Systems
• Comfortable presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong written communication for proposals, RFPs, and post-sale documentation.
• Familiarity with access control, surveillance/CCTV, intrusion detection, intercoms, fire alarm systems, AV, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of IP networking, PoE, fiber optics, and device integration.
• Solution-Based Selling
• Proven ability to identify customer pain points and propose tailored system solutions.
• Experience conducting needs assessments and creating detailed proposals and system designs.
• Sales Cycle Management
• Experience managing the full sales cycle: from lead generation, site walkthroughs, quoting, and proposal delivery to contract close.
• Skilled in using CRM tools to track opportunities and maintain customer records.
• Estimating and Quoting
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Experience preparing accurate estimates, BOMs (bill of materials), and RFP responses.
• Industry Knowledge
• Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and compliance (e.g., NEC, NFPA, ADA).
• Familiarity with leading manufacturers (e.g., Verkada, Lenel, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, Exacq, etc.).
• Relationship Building & Account Management
• Track record of building long-term client relationships and managing existing accounts.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships with contractors, consultants, property managers, and IT teams.
• Project Coordination
• Collaboration with engineering, project management, and service departments to ensure proper system implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with construction project timelines and coordination with GCs and trades.
• Territory & Pipeline Development
• Skilled in prospecting new business, attending industry events, and developing a territory or vertical market.
• Consistently meets or exceeds sales targets and KPIs.
• Compliance & Licensing
• Holds necessary industry certifications and/or state-required low voltage or security licenses (where applicable).
• Presentation & Communication Skills
• Comfortable presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong written communication for proposals, RFPs, and post-sale documentation
