Location: Secaucus NJ or Miami FL (On-Site) Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Manager Position Summary: As an Inside Sales Representative at our freight forwarding supply chain logistics company, you will be responsible for generating leads, managing customer relationships, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent college graduate with a major in Supply Chain Management who is eager to apply their knowledge and skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an Onsite role in Secaucus, NJ or Miami, FL. Encourage ONLY Applicants to apply near these locations. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation and Prospecting: * Identify and research potential customers and sales opportunities through various channels, including online research, industry events, and referrals. * Conduct outbound calls and emails to introduce our services and schedule meetings with potential clients. Customer Relationship Management: * Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. * Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide accurate information about our services, pricing, and policies. Sales Support: * Assist the Sales Manager and team with preparing sales proposals, presentations, and contracts. * Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless order processing, shipment tracking, and delivery coordination. Market Analysis: * Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. * Analyze customer feedback and market data to recommend improvements to our services and sales strategies. Administrative Duties: * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and transactions in the CRM system. * Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for management review. Product Knowledge and Training: * Continuously develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products, services, and industry regulations. * Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance sales skills and industry knowledge. Collaboration and Teamwork: * Work closely with the Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful service delivery. * Contribute to team meetings and share insights and best practices to support overall sales objectives. Problem Resolution: * Address and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive customer experience. * Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or manager for further resolution. Compliance and Documentation: * Ensure all sales activities and transactions comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. * Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for sales transactions and customer agreements. Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges. * Knowledge of the freight forwarding, and logistics industry is a plus.
