Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team, with a focus on Venture Capital (VC) and Private Equity (PE) firms. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with VC and PE firms, helping them understand the value of our platform for managing their portfolio companies' equity structures. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying opportunities, securing new business, and expanding our presence in the venture capital and private equity sectors. Key Responsibilities * Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with VC and PE firms, positioning our platform as the go-to solution for managing equity across their portfolio companies. * Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at VC and PE firms, understanding their unique needs and challenges. * Consultative Selling: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on how our platform can address their specific equity management needs. * Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting revenue to meet or exceed sales targets. * Product Expertise: Deeply understand our platform's capabilities and value propositions, effectively communicating them to potential clients in the VC and PE sectors. * Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and support, to ensure client satisfaction and successful implementation. * Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and the specific needs of VC and PE firms, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies. * Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with prospective clients, ensuring favorable terms that align with our business goals. Requirements * Experience: 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role, with a strong track record in sales or account management within the financial services, FinTech, or SaaS industries. * Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of venture capital and private equity firms, including their investment processes and the challenges they face in managing portfolio companies' equity. * Sales Success: Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in a complex, consultative sales environment. * Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders. * Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of how to tailor solutions to meet client-specific needs. * Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Preferred Qualifications: * Established network within the venture capital and private equity communities. * Experience with equity management platforms, cap tables, or financial software. * Background in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment.
