Job purpose The Outside Sales position will efficiently and adequately work to meet the customer requirements. At all times the Outside Sales position will strive to exceed the customer's expectations and develop long term customer relations. Duties and responsibilities for Outside Sales Representative - Welding Supply Customer Satisfaction and Retention * Maintain weekly and monthly meaningful customer contact. * Work to meet a customer's order deadline. * Keep communication open when working through a foreseeable customer issue/problem. * Set customer goals (with your supervisor) that you will meet on a monthly basis. * Notify Company representatives of any current customer dissatisfaction or potential arising issue and then work efficiently to cure or problem solve issues in an effective manner. Sales * Develop Annual, Monthly and Quarterly Sales Goals with supervisor and senior staff. * Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential customers. * Meet monthly with Branch Manager and senior staff to review Sales Goals. * Write product quotations and customer orders. * Input customer orders as necessary. * Act as liaison between customers and the company, resolving credit problems, customer inquiries, collections and concerns. * Identify product gaps. * Expand market awareness of company products and the industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively. * Analyze sales data and pick out trends. * Maintain records of customer communications and contact information as required. * Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or market strategies. * Submit customer visit logs as requested. Inventory * Ensure inventory levels are adequate for sales. * Always update TIMS with part numbers and valuable information as necessary. Other Duties * Perform other duties as required and directed that fall within the scope of the Company's Sales purposes and direction. Qualifications for Outside Sales Representative - Welding Supply Qualifications include: * College Degree and/or 3 years of Outside Sales Experience * Knowledge of Welding Supply and Gas Operations is preferred * 1-3 Years of Safety Experience related to Supply and Gas Operations * Problem solving and analytical processes * Excellent verbal communication skills * Strong presentation skills and professional appearance * Punctual * Valid Driver License * Microsoft Office proficiency preferred * Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 75% of the time visiting current and potential customers * Attention to detail * Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Experience: * Sales: 3 years (Required) * Welding Industry: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: * Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
