Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to drive sales in a retail environment. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, maintaining store standards, and supporting the overall success of the sales team. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. * Process transactions accurately using the cash register and POS systems. * Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and managing inventory. * Assist in supervising junior staff members to ensure efficient operations. * Provide product knowledge to customers, promoting sales and enhancing their shopping experience. * Uphold store cleanliness and presentation standards, ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively. * Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism and courtesy. Requirements * Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels. * Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. * Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. * Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls effectively. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. * Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. * Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus but not required.
