Full description of the position

* On Time Fab is one of the premier custom metal fabricators in Western KY. We work directly with industrial customers to supply them with custom metal parts and with building components for projects involving stairs, platforms, rails, and more. We also have established relationships with the major general contractors in the region, enabling us to work on larger, commercial projects such as distribution centers, water treatment plants, and similar construction projects. Total Compensation (Base plus Salary): $125,000.00 The Business Development Representative reports into the Customer Relationship Manager. The right candidate will have significant experience in B2B sales and penetrating new markets. This is a salaried position plus commission, offering a competitive pay, paid vacation, 401K with matching, medical insurance, and many other benefits. This role is the primary driver of new business for On Time Fab. We enjoy repeat customers as a large portion of our business, and those relationships are managed by our existing team. This role is being added to focus on penetrating new industrial markets and customers, especially recurring business opportunities. Core Competencies: * B2B sales, especially penetrating new markets and developing new customers * Experience selling both products and services to industrial and manufacturing customers * Understanding of common industrial facilities to identify customer needs for our products and services * Knowledge of common CRM software and systems * Detailed and meticulous in recording notes and communicating progress Minimum Qualifications: * 5 years of experience selling commercial products and services into the industrial manufacturing market * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and in project portfolio management systems * Experience working within a CRM system * Proven track record of cold-calling and winning new business from new customers * Prior experience working with - and having contacts within - the chemicals and/or food & beverage industries is highly desired as a value adder to any candidate Job Duties include but are not limited to: * New Customer Cultivation * Develop customer target list * Initiate contact and build relationships with new customers * Build customer contact network of multiple people within each customer * Identify areas where our products and services can be valuable * Build sales pipeline and keep it filled with new customers and projects * Develop Recurring Business Portfolio * Identify and win opportunities to supply customers with the same part(s) on a regular basis * Negotiate annual supply contracts * Manage min/max levels if needed * Communicate with customers regarding old inventory, changing demand, etc. * Manage CRM System * Maintain master data within CRM and its integration with QuickBooks * Utilize system to its fullest to capture customer information, job data, customer reviews, etc. * Use CRM to manage pipeline opportunities and identify ways to improve customer acquisition and retention * Customer Relationships * Work hand-in-hand with Customer Relationship Manager to broaden and deepen customer relationships, especially new customers * Communicate with customers in a timely fashion * Handle customer issues and complaints when they arise * Help customers navigate through any scheduling changes (theirs or ours) and how that impacts project timelines * Communicate customer feedback, needs, and feelings back to the On Time Fab leadership team for continuous improvement.
