Full description of the position

Overview The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales department to reach sales targets. The Sales Manager is primarily tasked with hiring and training team members, setting quotas, evaluating, and adjusting performance, and developing processes that drive sales. Sales Managers will ensure company policy and procedures are followed and maintained. This position requires a high level of independence, business acumen, strong client service and skills. Organizational ability is important to keep track of all tasks. Accurate and timely monitoring of client work, service calls, and related documentation is desired. The Sales Manager meets with their Sales team regularly to ensure that all Sales needs of prospects and existing clients are being met. They ensure the sales department is meeting its sales goals and growth goals. The Sales Manager will lead SkyTide Group's sales strategy, execution, and team development. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep MSP industry experience, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and strong leadership capabilities. Candidates with expertise in outside sales, B2B sales, and technology sales will find this position particularly rewarding. Key Responsibilities Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment and maintain healthy and engaged culture in the Sales and Marketing teams * Recruit, hire, lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Executives * Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals: Set sales goals to meet executive * growth targets, compare performance to goals, and continually analyze sales metrics and adjust strategies to improve performance * Track all Sales activity in the Professional Services Automation (PSA) system and/or CRM * Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them * Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets * Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team members * Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts * Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed * Collaborate with marketing and operations to optimize lead generation and client onboarding * Represent SkyTide Group at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities * Travel as necessary to represent SkyTide in events in markets where SkyTide has office operations * Identify trends and develop strategies to support these trends * Create opportunities, when appropriate and follow-up activities * Utilize the proposal tool to initiate proposals to clients Skills * Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms for data analysis and reporting * Strong analytical skills for market research, performance measurement, and strategic planning * Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire teams toward achieving goals Knowledge of marketing principles that support sales initiatives * Enjoys sharing information, supporting others, and leading a team to achieve team goals * Enjoys helping people to the extent that no problem is considered mundane, no matter how simple the solution * Drive to keep up on current and future technologies on a broad level and ability to quickly learn new technologies * Knowledge of the product stack that is available to prospects * Ability to effectively communicate with business owners in a meaningful way * Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading client strategies as well as ability to clearly differentiate SkyTide in a competitive and homogenous IT landscape * Skill in preparing written communications and materials This Sales Manager role is integral to our growth strategy, requiring a proactive approach combined with strategic thinking.
