Metal fabrication company with multiple Washington state locations is seeking outside sales and business development representatives to add to our team. The successful candidate(s) will assist in developing our sales and marketing strategies, meet with current and prospective customers and work with our inside sales, quality, and production teams to meet company-wide goals. Position responsibilities: * Maintain and strengthen relationships with current customer base * Seek to expand business opportunities with our current customer base * Seek to expand business opportunities by offering services to prospective customers through market research * Work within our manufacturing software system to generate and retrieve data which will support daily sales activity * Work with our inside sales team to respond to requests for quote and to follow up on quotes and inquiries * Work with inside sales team to produce estimates and quotations for customers * Work with sales and production teams to review job costing for specific parts and specific customers * Work with our production team to respond to customer inquiries on production-related issues * Work with our quality team to respond to customer inquiries on quality-related issues * Work within our Quality Management System processes to effectively communicate all sales issues * Use existing processes to engage team members, customers and suppliers in problem solving * Pass along customer feedback to sales, production and quality management personnel as required * Identify fabrication competitors to actively evaluate company strengths and weaknesses in marketplace * Respond to all customer inquiries quickly and effectively, using existing quality management system processes to pass along and/or gather information as required * Gather information on customer activities and visits, generate sales reports to pass along to executive management Qualifications: * Ability to travel by automobile daily within sales territory of Western Washington * Steel and fabrication product knowledge through minimum of (5) years industry experience * Sales experience, preferably within the steel, manufacturing or a related business * Strong written and oral communication skills * Basic math and computer skills * Self-motivated, punctual, clean driving record * Ability to work within a team environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $62,500.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Experience: * Metal Fabrication Sales: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: * Driver's License (Preferred) Work Location: In person
