Full description of the position

SUMMARY The Sales Application Engineer is a technically focused sales role that plays a vital role in the company's opportunity management approach and in the Sales Team's effectiveness at addressing customer application needs. This role works closely with both internal teams and external partners to deliver solution- oriented support, provide high-quality technical sales expertise, and contribute product concepts informed by customer insight. The Sales Application Engineer is ultimately responsible for leading, managing, and successfully closing profitable sales opportunities within their assigned customer base. RESPONSIBILITIES * Own the documentation and execution of sales opportunities with a focus on winning outcomes. * Promote data-driven behaviors that increase profitable wins while constructively challenging internal stakeholders when appropriate. * Use prioritization and time-management tools to effectively manage high-urgency and high-value opportunities. * Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, product management, and finance to advance opportunities. * Lead sampling activities to support customer product qualification. * Collect and analyze Voice of Customer insights to quantify opportunity value and inform product ideas. * Capture win/loss insights to support continuous improvement and sales effectiveness. * Provide technical expertise and solution support to sales teams and customers. * Maintain market and competitive awareness through customer engagement and industry research. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in engineering * Minimum 2 years of technical sales or customer-facing experience * Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with aerospace and defense companies, preferred * Demonstrated ability to effectively apply a disciplined sales process * Excellent teamwork skills. Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in the organization * Strong, professional English verbal & written communication skills * Familiarity with RF & ethernet technology and aircraft systems, preferred * Formal Project Management training, preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
