Job Summary The Outside Sales Representative is the face of Cook Brothers Truck Parts to the clients and prospects in his/her assigned territory. Responsible for working with clients and prospects to provide solutions for their truck parts needs and keeping their fleet running, the Outside Sales Representative fulfills a vital role within our organization. Responsibilities and Duties Our outside sales representatives are required to be familiar with the day-to- day activities at their home branch. The successful sales representative will need to maintain their daily established sales territory, constantly growing product line penetration and gross profit margin expectations along with adding to the number of active customers in their assigned sales territory. Duties include but are not limited to: Meeting with customers and prospects to assess their needs and provide products and solutions for keeping their trucks on the road Handle sales functions including processing orders, credit and cash sales as needed Become proficient in all company product lines and their application on heavy duty trucks Monitor client account balances and payment history Other duties on occasion as assigned by branch manager such as vendor receiving and processing pick tickets Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate will have a great attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to providing passionate customer service. Strengths must include the ability to forge strong relationships and be a problem solver. Experience in the heavy duty truck market is strongly preferred in this particular territory, as the successful candidate will be required to take over a long-established client base with over 2.75M in sales annually. This is a position working primarily in the Northeastern PA region while reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. The home branch location will be the Scranton branch.
