Seelye Kia of Battle Creek is seeking a New Car Sales Manager / Backup Finance Manager to support the leadership and profitability of our new car department. This role is designed for a high-performing automotive professional who understands both front-end sales operations and finance process flow. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who bring urgency, accountability, and consistency to their work -- and who want to grow within a structured, performance-driven dealership. Automotive Experience Requirement (Non-Negotiable) All applicants must have prior automotive/powersports sales experience. Who We Will Consider We will consider candidates with the following backgrounds: * Current or former New Car Sales Managers * Assistant Sales Managers * Finance (F&I) Managers * High-performing Automotive/Powersports Sales Consultants ready to move into leadership *Applicants without sales experience will not be considered. Who Is This Role For? This role is a fit if you: * Have a strong understanding of automotive sales and deal structure * Are comfortable working deals from pencil to delivery * Can step into finance when needed to keep deals moving * Work with urgency and hold yourself accountable * Are coachable, motivated, and process-driven * Want long-term growth, not a short-term title Who This Role Is NOT For This position is not for candidates who: * Want a slow-paced or "behind-the-desk only" role * Avoid responsibility once the deal hits finance * Struggle with structure, compliance, or attention to detail * Resist coaching or accountability * Expect leadership pay without leadership effort Key Responsibilities Sales Management * Support daily new car sales operations * Desk deals and assist with negotiations * Coach and develop sales consultants * Enforce CRM standards and follow-up accountability Backup Finance Management * Step in to structure and finalize deals when F&I coverage is needed * Present finance and protection products professionally and compliantly * Ensure accurate paperwork and funding readiness * Maintain smooth deal flow between sales and finance Qualifications * Automotive sales experience (minimum 1-2 years) * Strong understanding of deal structure and closing * Professional communication and organizational skills Preferred: * Prior sales management or F&I experience * CRM proficiency * Stable, consistent work history How to Apply To be considered, applicants must complete both steps below: * Apply through Indeed with a resume outlining automotive sales experience * Separately email a brief response to the following question to: * [please apply online] "What does delivering the best guest experience mean to you and how do you accomplish it?"
