Full description of the position

JOIN OUR TEAM ss the Sales Engineer at SP Industries. This role drives market awareness and growth by generating new leads and customers for complex, custom-engineered material handling solutions. The Sales Engineer supports sales efforts across both end users and distribution partners, working closely with operations and engineering to ensure seamless project execution and a positive customer experience. This role also brings structure and systems to strengthen the sales strategy, with a primary focus on converting new opportunities into customers and projects. What you 'll do (including, but not limited to): * Identify and develop new business opportunities within an assigned territory through prospecting, site visits, and outreach. * Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and supporting documentation. * Leverage engineering expertise to assess customer needs, solve on-site challenges, and recommend appropriate equipment and systems. * Engage purchasing, engineering, and management stakeholders to understand requirements and drive multi-product opportunities. * Collaborate closely with sales and engineering teams while maintaining accurate CRM data, reports, and sales intelligence. * Manage sales activities, schedules, and pipelines effectively while continuously improving sales systems and strategies. What you 'll bring: * Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in industrial or heavy equipment markets. * Proven experience selling complex, engineered solutions and communicating technical concepts effectively. * Strong customer, time, and territory management skills with the ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans. * Experience working with both distribution partners and end users; CRM proficiency and best practices required. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, willingness to travel up to 35% across North America, and a driven, persistent, and competitive mindset. Nice to have: * Bachelor's degree (technical preferred) or equivalent experience in industrial equipment sales.
