JOB SUMMARY Responsible for assisting customers, carry out 's, sales, sales events, special orders, merchandise displays and maintenance, cashiering, product knowledge, working as part of a team and other related duties. This is a "key holder" position therefore you must be available to work weekends. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following: * Provides courteous, efficient, and professional customer service to all customers. (internal & external) * Greet customers upon arrival and answer phones promptly. * Maintains effective vendor knowledge and/or relationships. * Develop and maintain customer loyalty. * Assist with the opening/closing of store. * Recommend products/materials for installation. * Assist with design/layout of paver/wall projects. * Create quotes for materials requested by customers. * Handles all POS transactions such as cash, checks, charge, invoices, sales orders, deposits, returns and refund transactions in computer. * Applies percentage discounts, edits line-item descriptions, and changes tax rates in computer as required. * Create cash accounts for customers. * Generate pre-liens on orders when applicable. * Accurately searches and locates sku's in computer. * Understands and follows store policies regarding credit cards, checks, and refunds. * Assist with ordering and setting up tools in showroom. * Sets up delivery orders and direct shipments. * Accurately prices products/materials.
