Location: Rothschild, WI Property: bantr Hotel ([please apply online] Why bantr Hotel bantr Hotel is an emerging boutique retreat located in the heart of Cedar Creek in Rothschild, Wisconsin. Once a beloved waterpark destination, bantr has reimagined the property as an upscale lifestyle hotel with a fresh, modern lodge aesthetic and thoughtfully upgraded guest experiences. Our amenities are designed to stand out in the market, featuring the largest pool, hot tub, and fitness center in the area, plus group fitness classes offered to guests. bantr's rooms are intentionally spacious-- 60% larger than the average hotel room --and include unique layouts and features such as fireplaces, lofts, bunks, and whirlpools. With newly remodeled event spaces, bantr is also a premier gathering destination, hosting up to 400 guests for celebrations and up to 200 for meetings and business events. Position Summary The Sales Manager at bantr Hotel is responsible for driving hotel revenue by developing new business and strengthening relationships with corporate, group, leisure, and event clients throughout Central Wisconsin and beyond. This role is a key driver of occupancy, group pace, and community presence-- working closely with operations, events, and leadership to ensure bantr Hotel consistently delivers standout service and memorable stays. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Account Development * Proactively generate new business through outbound calls, email outreach, prospecting, and networking, using proven and new strategies. * Build and manage a strong pipeline of corporate, group, and event accounts for overnight stays and meetings. * Create and execute a focused sales plan to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals. * Develop partnerships with businesses and organizations across the region including: * Local and regional corporate accounts * Sports teams and tournaments * Wedding blocks * Meeting and training groups * Tour and leisure travel planners * Associations and community organizations Group & Event Sales * Respond quickly and professionally to RFPs and inbound inquiries. * Conduct property tours and site visits for meeting planners, wedding clients, and group organizers. * Prepare and present proposals, contracts, room blocks, and event details with accuracy and follow-through. * Collaborate with operations and event staff to ensure each group and event runs smoothly from start to finish. Market Strategy & Reporting * Monitor competitor activity and local market demand to inform pricing and strategy (rate, occupancy, pace). * Maintain clean, organized CRM records and manage group pacing and forecasting. * Attend weekly sales meetings and provide clear updates on pipeline, lead volume, and conversion results. * Participate in trade shows, networking events, and community functions to build the bantr Hotel brand locally. What Success Looks Like * Consistent growth in group room nights and negotiated corporate business * Strong conversion rates from inquiry to contract * Healthy and predictable sales pipeline with high-quality prospects * Positive, lasting relationships with key regional decision-makers * Seamless coordination with the hotel team to ensure strong client satisfaction and repeat business Qualifications * 2+ years of hotel sales, hospitality sales, or related B2B sales experience. * Strong ability to prospect, follow up, and close business. * Comfortable building relationships in person and over the phone. * Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive. * Experience with or willingness to learn sales tools/CRMs and hotel systems. * Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. * Ability to occasionally work evenings/weekends for events, tours, or networking. * Experience with group blocks, weddings, or meeting/event sales. * Knowledge of the Central Wisconsin business and travel market. * Familiarity with RFP platforms and group sales process.
