Subaru Distributors Corp. (SDC) headquartered in Orangeburg, NY is the exclusive and independent distributor of new Subaru vehicles, parts, and accessories and franchisor of all Subaru retailers in New York and Northern New Jersey. SDC provides all original equipment manufacturer (OEM) level support to its franchised retailers utilizing industry-leading tools, state- of-the-art training centers for both technical and non-technical retailer staff, and a talented field team comprised of many different roles such as District Sales Managers, District Parts & Service Managers, District Service Quality Managers, and Training Managers. Role and Responsibilities * The Management Associate position will assist upper management in its day-to-day operations. This is a developmental position with tremendous growth potential and historically has provided a training ground to fill future management positions. * Provide upper management with standard and custom performance reporting at the regional, district and retailer level across all major parts, service, sales programs, and department initiatives. * Provide District Managers program support to meet initiative objectives. * Develop and continually enhance in-house custom reporting to better assist District Managers' action planning for their districts and retailers. * Review and report on retailer minimum standards and guidelines as related to parts, service, and sales. * Attend all available professional development training courses including in areas such as, technical, non-technical, vehicle sales, product, and marketing. * Travel with and support District Managers during their day-to-day activities in pursuit of attaining goals. * Coordinate, support and attend various promotional events and/or training events whereby the candidate will be setting up and breaking down displays. This could include off-hours and/or weekends on rare occasion. Skills/Qualifications * Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Excel including complex formulas, VLOOKUP, index matching and pivot charts/tables. * Ability to learn new and proprietary systems. * Superior skills in analyzing situations and making logical well thought out recommendations. * Must be self-motivated, confident, and able to perform tasks to completion with little to no supervision. * Willingness to take direction from multiple sources and manage time based on priorities. * Passion for the Subaru brand, automotive and/or the automobile business. * Able to or willing to learn how to drive manual transmission vehicles. * Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. * Valid Driver's License. * May be required to lift up to 50 pounds during event set ups.
