Job Description Botanica is seeking a high-energy, sociable candidate to become our next Outside Sales Representative. If selling New Jersey's finest cannabis edibles to dispensaries across the state sounds appealing to you, this could be a great fit. As the the primary point of contact for retailers statewide, it'll be your job to maintain excellent relationships with buyers while working to increase revenue within those accounts through promoting budtender education and enthusiasm, securing great merchandising for our products, capturing reorders, etc. You'll also be tasked with selling into new accounts to increase the footprint of our brands in New Jersey. Consistent account visits and sales calls are a prerequisite for success in this position. We are looking for someone already embedded in the New Jersey cannabis market, with established relationships and contacts among retailers that can be applied on day one. This is an outside sales opportunity, so willingness to travel regularly is a must. Once or twice a month there may be an overnight stay depending on store visits. This role has a base salary along with sales- based commission. Responsibilities * Work with the Director of Regional Sales to develop sales strategy, set monthly forecasts and strive to meet or exceed targeted forecasts * Monitor and interpret broader market trends and monitor competitor products to help inform development of new products, training and marketing points of emphasis * Help manage the Botanica sales process, which involves coordinating deliveries with retailers, inventory management, etc. * Collaborate and coordinate with field marketing team, including direct management of the New Jersey Field Marketing Manager and Brand Ambassadors * Collaborate with the marketing team to create content for budtender training and engagement. Work closely to align engagement with sampling, POS, and merchandising programs. * Represent company at vendor and other marketing events Qualifications * 3 years in cannabis sales or retail * Ability to analyze data and use the numbers to create effective sales engagement with retail buyers * An upbeat, personable, and proactive attitude * Ambition and the desire to achieve results * Excellent communicator, written and verbal * Cannabis advocate who believes cannabis has a role in improving people's lives * Comfort using spreadsheets, CRM software, Gmail, etc. * 21+ with a clean driving record Job Type: Full-time Pay: $62,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Mileage reimbursement * Paid time off * Travel reimbursement Application Question(s): * Are you 21 years of age or older (required under New Jersey cannabis laws)?
