Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing accounting software company selling a leading-edge application on the Salesforce.com platform. We are a fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR). As an SDR you are responsible for both inbound lead qualification and strategic outbound prospecting, cultivating and maintaining engagement with prospects; leading to qualified opportunities. This role combines responsive inbound lead follow-up with proactive outbound campaigns, utilizing modern sales engagement tools and multi-channel outreach strategies including cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling, with a focus on vertical market specialization. The SDR will be part of the AS Sales team and will work closely with Sales and Marketing teams and leadership to ensure personal development and pipeline growth. You will develop deep expertise in target verticals, becoming a trusted advisor who understands industry-specific challenges and how Accounting Seed solves them. In this role, responsiveness is essential, and you will need effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping prospects become customers. To succeed in this role, you will need a coachable and curious mindset, and a willingness to adapt the way you work to meet our Sales team's diverse needs. In addition to your key responsibilities, you will be integral in improving and innovating the AS Sales development practice, developing, and implementing processes and ideas that will advance Accounting Seeds sales growth. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Inbound Lead Management: * Serve as the first impression of Accounting Seed * Rapidly respond to and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and partner referrals * Analyze lead activity and work with the prospects to generate AS pipeline * Qualify in and qualify out leads based on fit, need, and timing * Nurture inbound prospects through consultative discovery conversations Strategic Outbound Prospecting: * Execute targeted outbound campaigns focused on specific vertical markets through cold calling, personalized email sequences, and LinkedIn/social selling * Develop vertical market expertise in assigned industries, researching market trends, key players, and industry-specific pain points * Leverage modern sales tools (ZoomInfo, Clay, Salesforce, sales engagement platforms) to build targeted prospect lists and orchestrate multi-touch campaigns * Conduct high-volume cold calling with a consultative approach to uncover prospect needs and business challenges * Build and nurture relationships through social selling on LinkedIn and other professional networks * Collaborate with Sales and Salesforce AEs on co-selling opportunities and strategic account penetration Overall Responsibilities: * Monitor your metrics for success including response times, calls, emails, social touches, meetings booked, and pipeline generated * Ensure updated web presence and case studies, videos, and other forms of customer promotion * Help sales and marketing to develop and execute lead generation strategies and campaigns tailored to vertical markets * Participate in weekly coaching sessions and call shadowing with management and your mentors to ensure you are ready for the next level position * Participation in industry-related events and conferences specific to target verticals SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree * Experience with both inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting strategies * Demonstrated success in strategic outbound including cold calling, email campaigns, and multi-channel outreach * Proficiency with modern sales tools and technologies (CRM, sales engagement platforms, prospecting databases, social selling tools) * Strong research skills and ability to quickly learn industry verticals, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes * Possess exceptional customer/prospect management and communications skills * Comfortable with high-volume cold calling and skilled at building rapport quickly over the phone * Outstanding multi-task task management skills across a varied set of responsibilities * Curious, high energy, self-motivated and a true team player * Ability to build credibility and trust by understanding and addressing prospect requirements * Strong social selling skills with experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar platforms * Good written and verbal communication with ability to craft personalized, value-driven outreach messages * Able to work remotely and be self-motivated * Analytical mindset with ability to track metrics, identify patterns, and optimize both inbound and outbound strategies * Experience with Salesforce a plus - native Salesforce knowledge highly valued Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $55,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Experience: * Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In personAccounting Seed, Inc
