VP of Sales SalesMuscle's Client- SF Bay Area, CA SalesMuscle is a sales consultancy that recruits and selects top sales talent and provides coaching and sales management mentorship for its clients. SalesMuscle founder, Lou Parrague, has over thirty years' experience and is an expert at recruiting top talent and creating winning teams for his clients. SalesMuscle is retained in the search for a VP of Sales for established software outsourcing consultancy. Duties and responsibilities * Drive full cycle selling: discovery, qualification, solution alignment, proposal development, negotiation, and close * Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline through individualized outreach, networking, referrals, and inbound opportunities * Lead consultative discovery with technical and business stakeholders * Translate customer needs into clear scope, value, and measurable outcomes * Expand existing client relationships * Activate and leverage the ecosystem to create opportunities * Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting * Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Partner Network, and Consulting/Delivery leaders * Provide clear market feedback to leadership Skill Set * Proven track record of personally originating and closing at least $3M per year in consulting, services, or technology services revenue * Significant experience selling consulting-led engagements and global software delivery services * Strong executive presence and a consultative approach * Demonstrated ability to generate opportunities through relationships, credibility, and networks * Mastery of value-based selling and strong deal discipline * Working understanding of AI, software modernization, and distributed delivery dynamics * Data-driven mindset with strong CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred) * Cultural fit for a small, founder-led company * High integrity and stewardship of relationships Education / Experience * Bachelor's degree required * 12-18 years of success in consulting or software services sales * Experience selling into mid-market and growth-stage tech organizations * Familiarity with AI, automation, and global software development models Compensation * Base salary $150,000 - $180,000 * Annual On Target Earnings $262,500 - $315,000 at plan Travel * 25%+ travel Job Type: Full-time Projected Total Compensation: $262,500.00 - $315,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Vision insurance Work Location: Remote
