Position: Technical Inside-Sales of custom manufactured plastic trays and carriers and protective packaging products for the semiconductor, electronics, and other manufacturing markets Territory: Global We are a small, private corporation in Amherst, NH that has designed and manufactured specialized plastic products for technology companies worldwide since 1984. Our team is known for inventing great products that address unsolved problems while providing real value and great service. The position involves responding to inquiries for component handling products that range from re-orders of previously purchased products to new custom manufactured products for new applications. The customer may not know whether their requirement is a new or existing product and often will assume (mistakenly) that there is a standard, "off the shelf" product. It will be your responsibility to educate the customer about the options, correct misconceptions, construct a "best value" solution, and communicate an offer to the customer. As Sales and Applications Engineer, you will be the primary technical resource for our customers and will be the customers' advocate to internal design and manufacturing staff. The role combines sales, customer support, and technical problem-solving to determine the best solution, prepare an offer, and follow through to secure an order. You'll help drive growth by understanding customer needs, preparing quotes, and supporting ongoing customer relationships. You will collaborate with technical experts at many well-known, respected, and breakout technology companies. While relevant knowledge and experience are highly valued, we recognize that this role draws on a diverse skill set. We are prepared to provide training to fill gaps for an otherwise qualified candidate. This is an "in person" position with the possibility of occasional remote work for special requirements. Most communication with customers is by email, phone, and occasional virtual meetings. Some needed resources and information are not currently accessible remotely. Visits by, and to, customers do occur and infrequent travel may be required.
