Full description of the position

Utah Yamas Controls is currently searching for well qualified, driven, technical sales representatives to join our HVAC Direct Digital Controls sales teams in our Boise Idaho office. As one of the largest systems integrators in the intermountain West, we have been providing state-of-the-art energy management and security systems since 1992. We employ a core staff of 100+ personnel consisting of technicians, programmers, electricians, engineers, salesmen, project managers, and administrative staff which allow us to provide a full range of services and products throughout the region. We are The ideal candidate will have sales experience in a highly technical electromechanical field, preferably the HVAC controls or PLC/SCADA industry. Knowledge and experience with design, estimating, takeoffs, engineering, installation, programming and/or service of mechanical equipment, DDC control systems is highly recommended. Experience with Schneider Electric, Automated Logic, BACnet, LON, Modbus, TAC, EcoStruxure, Vista, Honeywell AX/R2, Tridium, Niagara, I/A and Continuum a huge plus. The technical DDC sales position will be responsible for representing, promoting, and selling turn-key HVAC Controls related equipment and systems directly to end users, architects, and engineers. The DDC sales representative will be required to ascertain the needs of the customer, promote relevant products, and clearly demonstrate the features and benefits of our DDC control system offerings. This position requires exceptional computer skills, excellent communication, timely coordination, attention to detail and top- notch customer service. To be successful at this position, you need to be able to develop and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing customers. You should have an excellent knowledge of the industry to include the features and benefits of Schneider Electric control systems and how they differ from our competitors. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to break down technical terminology and complex control strategies to nontechnical clients. Technical Sales Representative Responsibilities: * Establishing the technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate products. * Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable. * Develop and maintain relationships with customers including end users, engineers and mechanical contractors. * Driving new business and supporting existing customers. * Estimating and takeoffs * Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise. * Keeping customers informed about new technological products. * Creating comprehensive proposals and reports related to technical products. * Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met. * Reporting sales projections to management. * Updating records of customer communications and contact information. Technical Sales Representative Requirements: * A bachelor's degree in IT, business, or equivalent industry experience. * A minimum of 2 years of sales or marketing experience. * Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of DDC Control Systems. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * The ability to identify and follow up on leads. * Exceptional skills in selling products and closing deals. * Knowledge of sales promotion techniques. * Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance. * A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel.
