Overview

Heglar Creek Electric and Heglar Creek Plumbing are seeking a driven, hands-on Sales Manager to lead and grow our electrical and plumbing sales efforts across industrial, commercial, agricultural, and residential markets. This role is responsible for developing sales strategy, managing customer relationships, estimating and bid processes, and leading sales performance across both divisions. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder who understands the trades, is comfortable in the field and the office, and can align sales efforts with operational capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for both electrical and plumbing divisions
• Identify growth opportunities in residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and repeat customers
• Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue targets Business Development
• Generate new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and community presence
• Represent Heglar Creek at industry events, job walks, and local functions
• Strengthen brand presence and reputation in the region Estimating & Proposals
• Assist with estimating, bidding, and proposal preparation
• Ensure pricing aligns with company margins, capacity, and strategic goals
• Coordinate with operations teams to confirm scope, timelines, and feasibility Team & Cross-Department Coordination
• Work closely with project managers, shop managers, and field supervisors
• Provide feedback to leadership on market conditions, pricing trends, and customer needs
• Help establish sales processes, CRM usage, and reporting standards

Qualifications

Required

• Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, construction, or skilled trades (or closely related industry)
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments Preferred
• Estimating or project coordination experience
• Knowledge of markets and regional contractors
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting
