The Reservation Sales Agent is primarily responsible for identifying and closing leads, from various sources. This position is responsible for answering new reservation phone calls, emails, texts, and other forms of incoming communication. The Reservation Sales Agent mindset is geared towards "making the sale", while maintaining a friendly, customer-oriented, "yes we can" attitude. The schedule for this position is Sunday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm, with 3 days in the office. The work location is in our beautiful Santa Barbara office near downtown. May have to work some holidays (you will receive PTO hours in exchange). This position has a base salary plus commission. Primary Responsibilities * Research, identify and book new leads from various sources, including other booking channels (VRBO, Airbnb etc.), travel agents, past guests. * Proactively contact potential clients through phone calls, texts and emails to generate leads and solicit business. * Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business and loyalty. * Keep detailed records of client interactions, bookings, and preferences in the CRM software. * Follows up on all holds created to effectively "close" the reservation and provide seamless service to the guest * Assists any walk-in guests in our office who are looking to reserve a property. * Shows property to potential guests as needed. * Have a deep understanding of the Reservation Agreements to explain them to guests when they have questions * Negotiate rates/apply discounts when necessary (with approval of Director of Guest Services and Reservations). * Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. * Work closely with other departments, such as guest services and property services to ensure a seamless experience for the client.
