Seeking an experienced, proactive Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving the firms continued growth and market presence. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic relationship builder who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced professional services environment and enjoys engaging both internally and externally to expand business opportunities. The ideal candidate is well connected, growth-minded, and experienced in supporting attorneys by developing meaningful client relationships, expanding market visibility, and strengthening community engagement. Prior law firm or professional services experience is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth Strategy Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the firms short- and long-term growth objectives. Identify new markets, clients, and service opportunities to expand the firms reach and visibility. Support firm-wide and practice-group-specific growth initiatives. Attorney & Client Relationship Support Partner closely with attorneys to identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities. Facilitate introductions between attorneys and prospective clients. Conduct client and prospect needs assessments to help tailor services and solutions. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activity. Translate research and data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for firm leadership. Proposals, Pitches & Presentations Lead the development of compelling proposals, pitch materials, and presentations. Collaborate with partners and practice groups to position the firm effectively for new engagements. Networking, Visibility & Community Engagement Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Actively engage in community and business organizations to strengthen the firms brand and referral network. Build and maintain a strong network of professional and industry contacts. Collaboration & Internal Alignment Work cross-functionally with partners, practice groups, and marketing teams to ensure consistency and alignment across business development efforts. Promote effective communication and collaboration to enhance client service delivery. Performance Tracking & Reporting Track business development activities, outcomes, and return on investment. Refine strategies based on performance data and feedback to continuously improve results. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or a related field. MBA or Juris Doctor (JD) is a plus. Minimum of eight years of business development experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Demonstrated success developing and executing business development and growth strategies. Established professional network and strong relationship-building capabilities. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of the legal industry and professional services landscape. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
