Sales Engineer (MSP / Presales) Location: Cumming, GA (Atlanta metro) Job Type: Full-Time, Employee Experience Level: Mid-Senior (5+ years) Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:50am-5:00pm On-Target Earnings (OTE): $120,000/year (salary + bonus) Do you enjoy translating complex IT environments into clear, confident business solutions? Have you worked inside an MSP and know how technical discovery, risk assessments, and presales really work? Snap Tech IT is hiring a Sales Engineer to support our presales efforts-- someone who can assess infrastructure, identify risk, and confidently present technical solutions that build trust with business leaders. This role is ideal for a Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer with sales experience, or Presales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and client-facing communication . What You 'll Do * Lead Full Technical Discoveries & IT Assessments- Conduct independent, end-to-end IT discoveries and cybersecurity risk assessments during the presales process. * Analyze MSP Environments - Evaluate Microsoft 365, Azure, servers, networks, firewalls, endpoints, backups, and security tools to determine infrastructure health, risk, and scalability. * Support Presales & Solution Design- Partner with sales leadership (including the CRO) on discovery calls, onsite assessments, presentations, and solution discussions. * Translate Technical Findings into Business Value - Clearly explain risks, gaps, and recommendations to non-technical executives in a way that drives informed decision-making. * Create Clear, Professional Documentation - Produce clean, accurate assessment reports that build confidence and support close-ready proposals. * Act as a Technical Authority - Serve as a subject matter expert to the sales team on feasibility, scope, and MSP best practices. * Operate in an MSP Rhythm - Apply your MSP experience to recommend realistic, scalable, and profitable solutions that align with service delivery. * Travel Locally as Needed - Primarily office-based, with onsite visits in the Atlanta metro area for discoveries and presentations. *Who We 're Looking For, You'll Thrive Here If You: * Ask smart questions and dig deeper than surface-level issues * Enjoy analyzing environments and designing solutions * Communicate clearly and calmly with business leaders * Can bridge Sales -> Engineering -> vCIO -> Security teams * Work well independently without micromanagement * Want to grow your technical and leadership skillset We take the hard right over the easy wrong --because that's how effective IT is done. Required Experience & Qualifications * MSP Experience (Required): Prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider; you understand MSP tools, service models, and presales workflows. * Technical Background/ Strong Knowledge of: * Microsoft 365 & Azure * Windows Server & networking * Firewalls, security tools, backups, endpoints * Cloud and on-prem infrastructure * Presales / Client-Facing Experience: Comfortable leading technical discovery, presenting findings, and supporting solution design. * Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent professional experience (5+ years). * Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, or similar (or willingness to maintain certifications). * Soft Skills That Matter Here: Excellent written and verbal communication, Strong listening and questioning skills, Attention to detail and documentation discipline * Logistics: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
