Position Summary The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business and expanding customer relationships across Great Way's full range of logistics and warehouse services--including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing, and distribution solutions. This is an individual contributor role --ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in freight forwarding, logistics sales, and supply chain management. The successful candidate will work independently to identify prospects, negotiate contracts, and close business while collaborating closely with operations and warehouse teams to ensure client satisfaction and service quality. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Client Acquisition * Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in freight forwarding, warehousing, customs brokerage, and distribution services. * Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve assigned revenue and profit goals. * Conduct prospecting, cold-calling, and lead generation to build a strong sales pipeline. * Prepare and deliver customized proposals, presentations, and rate quotations. * Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through consistent engagement and support. * Negotiate service contracts and ensure profitability and customer satisfaction. * Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance targets. Client Relationship Management * Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring service expectations are met and exceeded. * Coordinate closely with operations, warehouse, and customs teams to deliver smooth end-to-end service. * Conduct periodic business reviews to identify client needs, pain points, and opportunities for growth. * Provide feedback to management on customer trends and market developments. Sales Operations & Reporting * Maintain accurate and current records of sales activities, opportunities, and revenue in CRM systems. * Collaborate with warehouse operations to promote storage, distribution, and value-added services. * Prepare sales forecasts, progress reports, and market analyses for management review. * Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures. Requirements * Minimum 7 years of experience in sales or business development within freight forwarding, logistics, warehousing, or transportation industries. * Strong preference for experience in ocean freight and international logistics. * Proven success in independent sales and client acquisition. * Familiarity with warehouse operations, storage, and fulfillment services. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) ; experience with ERP/CRM system preferred. * Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and initiative. Skills & Competencies * Strong sales and negotiation capabilities in logistics and warehouse services. * In-depth understanding of international freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehouse operations. * Analytical and strategic mindset with ability to craft tailored logistics solutions. * High level of professionalism and responsiveness to customer needs.
