Full description of the position

Position Summary: The Director of Sales & Marketing is an executive responsible for leading all sales and marketing functions, both in-bound and out-bound. This role focuses on positioning the company as a leader in power electronics to meet revenue and profit targets. Key duties include managing sales and business development, overseeing market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, distribution, and channel strategies. The position requires cross-departmental collaboration and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities: a) Responsible for developing and implementing the company's mid- and long- term planning process including strategic positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning. b) Work with the CEO, CFO and other executive team members to create annual business plans, investments and budgets including presentation to the Board of Directors. c) Develop and manage the company's entire annual sales and marketing budget. d) Define the appropriate sales and marketing organization for the company's products, culture and size. e) Oversee the hiring and development of the marketing and sales organization. f) Implement metrics and performance goals for the organization and maintain an efficient system to keep the organization well informed. g) Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs. h) Drive the development of national and international sales strategies. i) Develop and track real-time metrics and success criteria for all sales and marketing activities, programs and sales funnel management. j) Report on sales and marketing activities, shipment and order volumes, backlog, target achievement and sales forecast on an ongoing basis. k) Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, market research, and website design and content. l) Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and lead tracking and program management. m) Identify, develop, establish, and manage partner, strategic alliances, channel and distribution strategies and programs. n) Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base and growing major customer accounts. o) Oversee product management including market and customer research for market and product requirements, interface with engineering for product development, product pricing and product lifecycle management. p) Oversee product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general sales support. q) Develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, for customers and channel partners. r) Participate in acquisition and growth activities. s) Participate in and share responsibility for sales and marketing related contracts signed by the company. t) Responsible for meeting budgetary, cost and performance objectives of all sales and marketing departments. u) Responsible for periodic reporting of company results to the board and other parent company departments. v) Other special assignments as may be required. Critical Skills and Experience: - BS in Engineering (EE, ME, Industrial Engineering), preferably with MBA. - Extensive experience in technical sales (10 minimum) in comparable industries with minimum 5 years in a senior management position. - 5 years marketing experience in comparable industries - Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels. - Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners in the on-road and off-road commercial vehicle industries. - Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners for custom products. - Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment. - High decision and negotiation competence - High customer orientation & experience of dealing with large customer groups - Strong team player with the ability to motivate others and create a results-driven environment. - People oriented with the skills and interest to develop a highly motivated sales team. - Experience with specific sales methodology and sales funnel management. - Experience in choosing, deploying and using marketing and sales tools and software applications. - Capacity to assume more significant executive responsibilities over time. - Demonstrated sense of urgency in meeting all aspects of job responsibilities and business growth. - Fluent German is a plus Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Tuition reimbursement * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
