Sales Representative - Building Envelope Solutions Job Overview Building & Restoration Technology (BRT NYC) is seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join our team. As an independent manufacturer's representative firm serving the NYC metro area since 2015, we specialize in building envelope products for commercial and residential applications. In this role, you will represent our portfolio of industry-leading manufacturers --including Johns Manville, Owens Corning, GE Silicones, and EPRO--while providing technical expertise and consultative sales support to architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners. Key Responsibilities * Schedule and execute sales calls with roofing contractors, waterproofing contractors, general contractors, and restoration specialists throughout the NYC metro area * Develop and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, and specification writers to secure product specifications on commercial and residential projects * Conduct roof evaluations and building envelope assessments to recommend appropriate solutions * Manage projects from specification through material selection to installation, ensuring proper product application and customer satisfaction * Build and maintain strong relationships with building materials distributors and supply partners * Provide technical support and product training to contractors and design professionals * Collaborate with manufacturer partners to leverage resources, training, and technical support * Maintain accurate records and pipeline management in CRM system * Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets across multiple product categories Required Skills & Qualifications * Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through * Proven outside sales or account management experience, preferably in building materials or construction * Proficiency in CRM software * Strong B2B sales background with demonstrated success in relationship-based selling * Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing specifications and closing deals * Technical aptitude and willingness to learn building envelope systems and applications * Self-motivated with ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment * Excellent communication skills--both verbal and written--with ability to present technical solutions to diverse audiences * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout NYC metro area * Experience calling on architects, engineers, or contractors is a plus * Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, or restoration products is a plus What We Offer The opportunity to represent premium building envelope solutions on iconic NYC projects while working with industry-leading manufacturers.
