Full description of the position
Position Overview The Digital Sales Director will lead our local sales team in achieving and growing overall digital revenue across Adams Multimedia's Treasure Valley operations. This leadership role combines hands-on sales coaching with strategic market development, ensuring a unified, results-driven approach to digital advertising. The Digital Sales Director will serve as a strategic marketing partner , connecting businesses to Adams Multimedia 's powerful multi-platform marketing opportunities, with a primary focus on digital assets. This includes targeted display, SEO/SEM, OTT/CTV, social media, and email marketing solutions designed to help local businesses reach their ideal audiences. This position is responsible for coaching and developing a multimedia sales team in a results-focused, consultative selling technique, driving new business development, creating and presenting integrated marketing programs, achieving sales and revenue goals, and providing exceptional client service. The role will be based primarily in Boise , supporting Boise Weekly Magazine , with time spent in Nampa to coordinate shared digital strategy and key client relationships across Idaho Press, Meridian Press, Emmett Messenger Index , and their associated websites and platforms. Essential Responsibilities 1. Digital Growth & Revenue Leadership Grow and develop new digital business to achieve or exceed all digital revenue, market share, and profitability goals. This position will carry a book of business, starting from the ground up. o Enhance customer satisfaction through innovative solutions that deliver measurable results. 2. Product Expertise & Sales Strategy Become an expert in all Adams Multimedia digital product offerings, understanding each solution thoroughly and aligning them with client needs. o Execute high-level sales presentations and proposals designed to secure new business and expand partnerships with established advertisers. 3. Collaboration & Cross-Media Integration Understand all facets of Adams Multimedia products, competitive positioning, and marketing strategies. o Partner with multimedia sales representatives and sales managers to develop integrated revenue 4. Client Relations & Education Build strong business relationships rooted in trust and performance. o Educate advertisers and internal teams on the value and best use of Adams Multimedia digital products, including SEO/SEM, targeted display, OTT/CTV, social media marketing, and email campaigns. 5. _Community & Professional Engagement _ Represent Adams Multimedia at industry events, client meetings, and local business functions. o Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional seminars as required. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. * Proven track record in digital media sales leadership developing new business and exceeding revenue goals. * Strong understanding of SEO/SEM, targeted display, OTT/CTV, and social advertising * Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills * Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop sales teams * Data-driven, analytical approach to sales performance and campaign optimization Skills & Abilities Articulate and intelligent, with highly developed presentation skills. * Organized and focused on priorities that move the sales process forward. * Creative thinker who can match marketers' goals with unique digital advertising solutions. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, good follow-through, self-motivated and goal oriented to achieve ambitious targets. Authority and Relationships This position reports functionally to the Vice President of Advertising and collaborates closely with a wide variety of internal associates and external customers.
