Job Description We're building the best accounting firm in the Brooklyn area servicing cannabis businesses throughout the tri-state area. That's our objective -- and you'll be part of that. Wietschner Ziegler, LLP is seeking a motivated and highly capable Business Development Manager to join our team and support the continued growth of the firm by bringing in the right type of clients. Ultimately, this role is responsible for expanding the firm's client base, strengthening market presence, and contributing to the long-term success of Wietschner Ziegler, LLP. Position Objective The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to drive new client relationships and support the Client Relationship team in maximizing opportunities for revenue and long-term growth through direct, field-based efforts. A successful Business Development Manager plays a key role in representing the firm and the services our clients depend on. This position requires a proactive mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. When working independently, the Business Development Manager will seek out new opportunities, generate leads, build client relationships, and guide prospects through the engagement process. The ideal candidate is a professional communicator who is comfortable meeting clients face-to-face and representing the firm at presentations, networking events, and industry functions. Position SpecificationQualifications (Desirable) Relevant education or training in business, management, or related fields. Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential) * 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management * Proficiency with CRM and sales management tools * Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills * Ability to manage a busy schedule and work effectively under pressure * Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing professional relationships * High level of interpersonal and emotional intelligence * Willingness to travel regularly to meetings, networking events, and conferences Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable) * Experience selling professional services * Experience with virtual presentations and video conferencing * Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals * Cannabis industry experience a plus, but not required Key Responsibilities * Represent the firm's services through a strong understanding of our offerings and client needs * Research prospective clients and identify how the firm's services may support them * Support firm growth through effective planning, goal setting, and performance tracking * Generate leads, build relationships, and manage a consistent pipeline * Develop and execute a territory action plan * Meet with prospective clients to understand their needs and introduce the firm's services * Track, analyze, and communicate sales activity and pipeline metrics * Coordinate internally to support onboarding and long-term client success * Maintain professional relationships with existing clients to identify additional opportunities * Prepare proposals, reports, and materials as needed for meetings and presentations Key Performance Measures * New client relationships developed * Revenue and services sold * Sales activity, meetings held, and pipeline growth * Timeliness and quality of reporting and documentation * Contribution to overall team objectives Requirements * Must be located in New York or New Jersey * Valid driver's license required * Ability to travel regularly * Access to a personal vehicle preferred Compensation & Benefits * Base salary plus performance-based compensation * Potential total compensation up to $200,000 per year * 401(k) * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Experience: * Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required) * Sales: 3 years (Required) * Business development: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
