Route Sales Duties/Responsibilities: * Safely operate vehicles to sell, deliver products along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. * Build rapport with customers through friendly interactions, addressing their needs and providing product information. * Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities during each visit. * Manage route schedules efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and pickups, adjusting plans as needed for traffic or other delays. * Establish and maintain friendly and professional relationships with your customers to increase sales and selling space. * Conduct merchandising activities by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring product presentation aligns with company standards. * Perform lifting and physical tasks required for loading and unloading products, maintaining proper safety techniques. * Use math skills to calculate pricing, discounts, and inventory levels accurately. * Maintain detailed records of deliveries, sales transactions, and customer interactions for reporting purposes. * Communicate effectively with customers, warehouse and team members to coordinate route activities smoothly. * Demonstrate organizational skills by planning daily routes effectively and managing time efficiently. * Uphold excellent customer service standards by resolving issues promptly and professionally. * Follow safety protocols diligently during all aspects of route driving and product handling. * Ensures that delivery/route vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor. * Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices. Act as a major contributor/leader among peer group. * All other duties as assigned Route Sales Requirement: * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and sales transactions. * Proven ability in upselling products to increase sales revenue. * Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members. * Experience in route driving or delivery services is highly desirable; familiarity with route planning tools is a plus. * Ability to perform lifting safely during loading/unloading processes. * Exceptional organizational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively throughout the day. * Customer service experience that demonstrates a positive attitude and problem-solving abilities. * Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product displays and presentation standards. Background in military service or related discipline is advantageous for discipline and safety awareness. Route Sales Physical Requirements: * Repeatedly lifting 10-25 pounds including overhead multiple times daily. * Moving carts/dolly that weigh up to 75 pounds on a routine daily basis. * Prolonged periods of sitting while driving. * Ability to stand and walk frequently. * Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling product. * Work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
