Sales Associate & Key Carrier - All Departments Location: Builders Surplus of Louisville Compensation: Hourly + Commission on All Sales Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Sales Associate & Key Carrier to join our team across all departments , including doors, windows, in-stock kitchen cabinets and countertops, bath vanities and faucets, flooring, tile, and more (kitchen Design a bonus). This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sales, customer service, or home improvement who is ready to contribute to a fast- paced and growing retail environment. Commissions are paid on all sales! Key Responsibilities: * Serve as a key carrier , assisting with store opening, closing, and daily operations * Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory across multiple departments * Assist with ordering merchandise and support the store manager as needed * Stock shelves and ensure displays across departments are clean, organized, and visually appealing * Provide exceptional customer service , guiding customers in selecting products and making purchases * Demonstrate product knowledge across departments: doors, windows, kitchen and bath products, flooring, tile, and more * Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and warehouse equipment * Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment * Follow all safety protocols and operational guidelines Qualifications: * Previous experience in sales , customer service , home improvement, or a related field * Knowledge of our products , special order processes, and installed sales * Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems * Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Forklift certification is a plus (training available) Why Join Our Team? * Commissions paid on all sales * Opportunities for growth and internal advancement * Supportive and dynamic work environment * Hands-on role with diverse tasks across multiple departments If you're a motivated team player with a passion for customer service and home improvement, we encourage you to apply.
