Position Summary: This position reports directly to the assistant manager or manager. This position is responsible for keeping the store clean, performing water testing, fill pool additive jugs, and helping with customer needs. In addition to in-store responsibilities, this role may require assisting in off-site tasks, such as pool cleaning as needed. Position Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma, or equivalent. Previous retail and/or pool supply experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills required. Essential Functions of Position: To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Greet / Assist customers upon entering store. * Perform water balance testing, accurately, for customers. * Answer phones. * Carry customer purchases to the car. * Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep displays & counter area clean. * Report all stock / supply shortages. * Perform in store equipment repairs. * Maintain store inventory. * Stocker /Jugger responsibilities as needed * Any other duties, as assigned. Physical Requirements of the Position: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Position requires constant walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to answer phones/perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers and or the corporate office. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
