POSITION OVERVIEW: Hayward Honda is seeking an engaging, experienced Automotive Sales Professional to join our sales team. We're looking for someone who consistently closes deals profitably, takes pride in their craft, and contributes to a strong team culture. The right candidate brings an entrepreneurial mindset, embraces modern tools and technology (CRM, internet leads, digital retailing), and is driven to deliver a transparent, high-value experience to every customer who visits or reaches out online. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: *High school diploma or associate degree *Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record *Proven success in franchise dealership vehicle sales *Professional appearance, friendly demeanor, and a consistently positive attitude *Ability to compete and win while doing what's best for the customer *Strong communication and interpersonal skills *Solid customer service, negotiation, and closing ability ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Sell new and pre-owned vehicles in line with dealership expectations for volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction. * Partner with sales management to set and achieve individual sales and profit goals for new and used units. * Stay current on Honda products, features, accessories, incentives, and competitive models, and clearly communicate their benefits to customers. * Use the CRM to maintain a strong follow-up system that drives repeat and referral business and supports high customer satisfaction. * Treat each vehicle delivery as an opportunity to create a positive experience and generate future business for the dealership. * Understand equity and vehicle values and clearly explain depreciation, trade value, and basic finance/lease concepts to customers. * Handle phone, text, and email communications with customers promptly, courteously, and professionally. * Work all assigned internet leads and phone opportunities within the dealership's standards for response time and follow-up. * Maintain an understanding of federal, state, and local regulations that apply to retail automotive sales. * Participate in ongoing training to stay sharp on product knowledge, sales skills, and department initiatives. * Attend regular sales meetings and contribute to team planning and problem-solving QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous automotive sales or other high-ticket sales experience required * Strong verbal and written communication skills, including over phone, text, and email * Ability to perform well independently and as part of a results-driven team * Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and closing skills * Proficient with technology, including CRM tools and basic computer applications * Able to handle multiple customers and tasks while staying organized and on top of follow-ups * Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends We offer competitive, commission-based compensation with significant earning potential, along with ongoing training and professional development in a stable, long-established, family-run Bay Area dealership group.
