Heidi Merrick Summerland is seeking a part-time sales associate and sales expert to join our team. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves the Heidi Merrick collection, appreciates beautiful and bohemian living, and brings a thoughtful, organized approach to their work. This role blends client connection, sales expertise, and day-to-day retail operations. You will help create a welcoming, well-run space while supporting inventory, presentation, and the overall rhythm of the store. Schedule and compensation * Part-time, 3-4 days per week * Fridays and weekends required * Starting at $20 per hour plus commission * Compensation based on experience Role overview You will be a key presence on the sales floor, helping maintain the look, flow, and organization of Heidi Merrick Summerland. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values attention to detail, and takes pride in both customer experience and behind-the-scenes operations. Responsibilities Client experience and sales * Provide warm, knowledgeable service to clients * Build relationships with local and returning customers * Support styling and product knowledge on the floor * Help bring in and engage community clients * Represent the Heidi Merrick point of view with ease and care Sales floor and operations * Maintain visual standards and overall presentation of the store * Support daily sales floor organization and staffing flow * Manage inventory accuracy, receiving, and organization * Assist with tagging, labeling, and packaging standards * Support opening and closing procedures * Communicate inventory or operational needs clearly Studio and event support * Assist with artists in residence working in the upstairs atelier * Support in-store events and special gatherings * Help prepare and reset the space before and after events Who you are * You appreciate design, craftsmanship, and a bohemian sensibility * You are organized, dependable, and detail-oriented * You enjoy balancing creativity with structure * You are comfortable taking initiative and responsibility * You have retail, hospitality, or related experience * You enjoy working with people and building long-term client relationships Location Heidi Merrick Summerland Summerland, CA To apply, please send your resume and a short note about yourself and your availability to [please apply online], or stop by Heidi Merrick Summerland to introduce yourself.
