Beyond 2020 Vision Specialists is seeking a performance-driven Optical Sales/ Optician to join our private practice. This role is ideal for a motivated, patient-focused professional with a strong ability to convert comprehensive eye exams into eyewear and contact lens purchases while delivering an elevated optical experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of optical retail experience
• Proven success in sales conversion and capture rate
• Strong knowledge of lens options, prescriptions, frame styling, and insurance benefits
• Ability to confidently sell high-end frames and lens upgrades

Key Responsibilities

• Convert eye exams into eyewear and contact lens sales through consultative selling
• Read and interpret prescriptions; recommend appropriate lenses, coatings, and materials
• Explain vision insurance benefits clearly and accurately
• Style and dispense frames based on facial features, lifestyle, and prescription needs
• Take precise measurements (PD, seg height, fitting height)
• Adjust, fit, and troubleshoot glasses and contact lenses
• Process optical orders, shipments, invoices, and lab trays accurately
• Deliver exceptional in-person, phone, and electronic customer service
• Collaborate with the team to maintain productivity, flow, and patient satisfaction Success in This Role Requires
• Strong closing skills and confidence presenting AR, progressives, second pairs, and sunwear
• Excellent product knowledge and follow-up/problem-solving ability
