Full description of the position
Position Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing referral relationships with healthcare professionals and organizations to increase client referrals and revenue for our home care agency. This role focuses on building strong partnerships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, senior centers, case managers, and other healthcare and community-based organizations. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain referral relationships with Networking partners, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, physicians' offices, and social workers. * Educate referral sources on home care services, care programs, and differentiators. * Conduct in-person and virtual meetings, presentations, and facility visits. * Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts. * Collaborate with operations and care teams to ensure smooth intake and high-quality service delivery. * Track sales activity, referrals, and outcomes in CRM or internal systems. * Meet or exceed referral and revenue growth targets. * Attend networking events, health fairs, and community outreach activities. * Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies. * Conduct in-home assessments with prospective clients referred through established referral sources to evaluate care needs, explain services, and determine appropriate care plans. * Qualifications * Proven experience in networking, sales, preferably in home care, healthcare, hospice, senior living, or related fields. * Strong relationship-building and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively. * Professional demeanor with excellent presentation skills. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Skills * Knowledge of home care services and payer sources (private pay, long-term care insurance, VA, etc.). * Experience working with discharge planners, case managers, or healthcare administrators. * CRM experience and basic reporting skills.
