Design Consultant / Retail Salesperson - Luxury Furniture Sales Manhasset, NY Full Time (includes weekends) Compensation:Competitive base plus commission ABOUT THIS ROLE Join a new private luxury furniture showroom selling the Theodore Alexander brand - one of the most respected names in high end home furnishings. As a Design Consultant, you will guide clients through world-class interior design services, helping select luxury furniture, rugs, upholstery, mattresses, and more. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * Engage discerning clientele and help navigate the expansive product assortment in the Design Center * Conduct full-service design consultations (including in-showroom and house calls) as needed * Provide space planning, fabric selection, and detailed presentations * Cultivate and build long-term relationships with private homeowners, trade professionals, realtors, and builders * Employ and execute consultative, design-forward selling to meet and exceed monthly sales KPI's * Utilize outreach, social media, and personal marketing to help grow your book of business * Collaborate with leadership on showroom events, client outreach, and community engagement initiatives IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE * 2+ years of experience in interior design, luxury retail, or to-the-trade sales * Comfort and experience balancing high-ticket product knowledge with client service excellence * Strong follow up, presentation, and organizational discipline * Impeccable interpersonal skills; design trade and community relationships are a plus WHY JOIN OUR TEAM? * Be part of launching a luxury branded Flagship Showroom in one of the most prestigious markets in the northeast * Collaborate in a high-performance culture that values design creativity and outstanding sales ability * Become a brand ambassador for a world-class home furnishings and interior design brand, cultivating long-term relationships with both retail clientele and design trade partners Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
