Full description of the position

Industrial Refrigeration | Food & Cold-Chain Infrastructure MRBraz & Associates, LLC Location: Fort Worth / Carrollton, TX (In person with regional travel) This posting is for multiple Sales Application Engineer I openings. Salary Range: $78,000 - $92,000 Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary bonus at the end of the calendar year based on company and individual performance. Why MRBraz MRBraz & Associates is an industrial refrigeration solutions provider specializing in energy-efficient, environmentally oriented systems for food processing, cold storage, and other industrial applications. With over 40 years of experience, MRBraz delivers comprehensive capabilities from design and manufacturing to installation, maintenance, and ongoing support. Our focus on advanced refrigeration technologies--including low-charge, high-efficiency refrigeration systems--helps clients improve reliability, reduce operating costs, and meet regulatory requirements throughout the lifecycle of their facilities. The Role The Sales Application Engineer supports the technical and front-end costing of MRBraz's design-build delivery model. You will assist in developing refrigeration system concepts, defining scope, and validating economic feasibility before projects move into detailed engineering and execution. This is not a quota-carrying sales role. It is an engineering position designed to build strong application judgment while working directly with customers, sales leadership, and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities * Support translation of customer process and capacity needs into preliminary industrial refrigeration system concepts and an execution-ready basis of design. * Assist in defining scope, system configuration, and key equipment selections for industrial refrigeration solutions, including Ammonia (NH), CO, and Freon-based systems where applicable (typically legacy or transitional applications). * Participate in customer technical discussions with senior engineers to identify constraints, risks, and assumptions early. * Prepare technical inputs such as concept layouts, P&ID-level concepts, equipment selections, and system descriptions under supervision. * Coordinate with engineering/design, manufacturing/fabrication, and service teams to confirm feasibility and execution alignment. * Support technical presentations, proposal reviews, and customer walkthroughs with accurate, defensible information. * Ensure clean handoff from application/proposal phase to detailed engineering and project execution. * Capture lessons learned and contribute to internal application best practices and repeatable designs. * Maintain working knowledge of applicable refrigeration codes, standards, and safety expectations. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. * 0-5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, HVAC-R, process engineering, or large mechanical systems (internships, co-ops, or relevant field experience acceptable). * Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems. * Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, system schematics, and equipment layouts. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 25-40%). * High attention to detail and respect for safety-critical systems. Preferred Qualifications * Engineer In Training (EIT) certification or active pursuit of licensure. * Exposure to ammonia (NH), CO, or Freon-based industrial refrigeration systems. * Familiarity with IIAR standards or industrial refrigeration safety practices. * CAD or layout experience (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). * Experience supporting pre-sales, application engineering, or project engineering teams. Ideal Candidate Profile * An early-career engineer seeking a relevant career in industrial refrigeration, who will professionally represent MRBraz & Associates with customers, demonstrating strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a polished, professional presence. * Curious, structured, and disciplined in problem-solving. * Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment. * Motivated by building infrastructure that matters--not transactional sales. Job Type * Full-time Benefits * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule * Day shift * Monday to Friday Work Location In person -- Fort Worth / Carrollton, TX Job Type: Full-time Pay: $78,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
