Director of Sales & Business Development Z Design Tile & Stone | Omaha, NE Z Design Tile & Stone is a design-forward, premium tile and stone showroom serving residential interior designers, general contractors and home builders throughout the Omaha market. We curate distinctive materials, foster deep trade relationships, and operate with a high standard of professionalism, creativity, and accountability. We are seeking a Director of Sales & Business Development -- not just a salesperson, and not just a manager -- but a builder. The Opportunity This role is designed for someone who wants to build , not maintain. You will take ownership of sales and business development at Z Design Tile & Stone, working directly with the Owner/President. You will actively sell, cultivate high-level designer and builder relationships, lead the showroom sales function, and help set the direction for how our business grows. This position carries real influence, real responsibility, and real upside. For the right person, this role can evolve into a senior leadership position -- potentially serving as a long-term #2 in command and future VP of Sales , based on performance and results. What You 'll Do Sales & Business Development * Proactively build relationships with residential interior designers and home builders * Conduct in-person visits, presentations, and showroom appointments * Lead key client relationships and high-value projects * Own your personal sales pipeline and close business consistently * Represent Z Design with confidence, professionalism, and credibility * Bring clients into the showroom and create a high-touch experience Leadership & Growth * Lead and mentor the showroom design consultant * Help establish sales standards, accountability, and follow-through * Track KPI's for the entire sales team and implement action to achieve them * Identify opportunities for improvement and growth * Contribute ideas, systems, and structure to support scaling * Take increasing ownership of the sales function as trust and results are earned * Help shape the future sales team and growth strategy Showroom & Product Direction * Assist in sourcing new tile and stone collections * Help curate showroom displays and merchandising * Lead showroom refreshes and presentation strategy * Work with vendors and contribute to product direction Who This Role Is For This role is ideal for someone who: * Has proven tile or stone sales experience * Is driven, hungry, and self-motivated * Thinks like an owner, not an employee * Wants responsibility and accountability * Takes pride in building relationships and results * Gets satisfaction from growing something bigger than themselves This is not a role for someone who wants to be told what to do, wait for leads, or simply "work the floor."
