Position Overview Looking for someone passionate about serving people on the journey for beautiful new floors that will transform their home. As a Retail Sales Associate at Carpet Mart, you will greet customers, build a rapport, ask questions to understand customer's needs, provide solutions and finalize the sale. Your goal is to deliver an experience that turns a customer into a life- long client. Core Qualities * Positive attitude of service * Focused on excellence * Honor and respect others by doing right by people * Trustworthy * Team player Key Responsibilities * Produce sales in retail store achieving performance targets in sales, customer experience and customer commitment * Complete sales by collecting payments * Complete sales process and paperwork working with Sales and Operations Leadership to insure a successful job * Participate in weekly product knowledge meetings * Participate in weekly team meetings * Maintain sales and work areas Qualifications * Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, customer service or related field * Ability to work Saturdays and minimum of four weekdays (no remote work) * Reliable automobile and auto insurance * Strong work ethic and communications skills and passion to serve while working in detailed, fast paced sales environment. * Solution oriented with exceptional follow through * Strong math skills and ability to understand and figure floor layouts. * Proficient with Windows based computer applications (Windows, Excel, Outlook, Teams) * Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and computer applications Benefits * Commission pay * 401K program * Vacation / Paid Time Off * Health, Dental, Vision Insurance offered Schedule * Store open Monday through Saturday - Saturday is Required * Closed on Sundays Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $40,000.00 per year Ability to Relocate: * Louisville, KY 40223: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
