Gamco Corporation, which has been recognized in Glass Magazine 's Top Metal Companies for a number of years, is a premier manufacturer of quality fenestration systems and special architectural metal facades and building elements. We custom manufacture complete systems for storefronts, curtain walls, skylights, interior glass walls, solariums, sunrooms, and a broad spectrum of exterior and interior architectural metal components. We have been manufacturing and fenestrating quality products for over 35 years and have graced many notable buildings in the New York Metropolitan Area since 1986. We are seeking a passionate Sales Engineer to join our team. Job duties include selling to new and established clients by way of estimating quotes; taking orders; entering, tracking, and following up on orders; and coordinating between outside sales and operations to exceed customer expectations. By demonstrating the advantages and outstanding performance capabilities of our products, Sales Engineers drive company revenue and their own careers in an environment full of fun and challenges. Additional duties and responsibilities include: * Analyzing customers' needs and recommending proper products to the customer * Introducing and promoting new Gamco products to customer base, emphasizing unique features by using samples, videos, catalogues, and shop drawings * Taking orders from email, walk-in, fax, and phone customers * Coordinating with Sales, Project Managers, and Production to meet deadlines * Using analytical skills to perform research and determine all materials, transport, labor, and equipment needed for the job * Handling quotes and customer inquiries * Entering orders accurately into our order processing system * Following up with production department to ensure timely completion of customer orders * Solving delivery and material challenges * Maintaining professional rapport and good relationships with Gamco's customer base * Communicating market and industry information to customers * Engaging in cross-department cooperation with Production, Accounting, R&D, and Purchasing departments * Seeking ways to optimize our sales processes * Compensation Salary + Commissions Qualifications and Skills * Associate degree or above--any major/background welcome. * Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills. * Eagerness to learn and improve. * Excellent math skills. * Knowledge of current software and strong computer skills, including Excel or estimating software. * Proficient and Strong in Applications * Highly organized, capable of multitasking, and dependable to meet deadlines. * Attention to detail, capable of pointing out mistakes and correcting them. * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. * Customer-centric mindset.
