POSITION SUMMARY M&A Supply Company, Inc. is seeking an Inside Counter Sales Associate for its branch location in Memphis, Tennessee. Applicant will be responsible for assisting customers by taking in person and phone orders, may be responsible for checking in shipments, pulling orders & preparing orders for shipping. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES At M & A Supply, Inside Counter Sales / Warehouse employees are under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager at each branch location. Tasks include customer service, order taking, computer work, taking phone calls, and other duties to be assigned by the Operations Manager. Tasks may also require the use of a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment. All applicants are required to follow safe work practices and obey the rules and regulations of M&A Supply. Applicants are required to attend all company safety meetings and complete any training deemed necessary by M&A, including forklift certification training. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Two years HVAC knowledge required. Employees in this position must also be able to perform basic tasks using a computer, such as emailing, using a digital time clock, and utilizing M&A's ERP system (Prophet 21) as required. Good customer service skills. Applicant must also be able to operate a forklift and be duly certified to do so. As mentioned above, M&A will provide the proper training/certification for all employees whose job requires them to use a forklift. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. They must be able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds, climb on and off the trucks and be able to bend and stoop, as well as sit and/or stand long periods of time. Applicant must be able to work in environments--including inside our trucks, in warehouses, at job sites, and outdoors--where the temperature may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Applicant must also have the physical ability to safely and properly operate our trucks, forklifts, and any other warehouse equipment as needed. BENEFITS This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position with insurance benefits available within 90 days (medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, etc.).
