Overview Love the outdoors? Passionate about water sports? We're looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic individuals to join our team at Las Olas Paddle Boards -- a locally operated kayak, paddle board, and small watercraft rental company. As a team member at our waterfront rental shop, you'll be the first point of contact for guests looking to get out on the water. From greeting customers and giving safety briefings to assisting with rentals and helping with gear, this is a fun, active role that blends customer service with outdoor adventure. Whether you're working in the shop or out by the docks, you'll help ensure every customer has a safe, smooth, and memorable experience. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Shop Duties * Greet customers and assist with check-in/check-out procedures * Provide clear safety briefings and basic paddling or equipment demonstrations * Answer questions about the waterway rules and rental equipment * Process retail sales (with opportunities for commission!) * Keep the storefront organized, stocked, and welcoming Waterfront & Equipment Duties * Set up, break down, and maintain equipment including kayaks, paddleboards, and boats * Assist customers with launching and docking vessels * Lift and move heavy equipment safely (with team support) * Operate small motorized watercraft as needed (boating license preferred) * Monitor waterway activity and ensure customer safety Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience in customer service, outdoor recreation, or water sports (a plus!) * Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor * Comfortable working on and around water * Physically able to lift and carry equipment (up to ~50 lbs) * Boating license preferred (or willingness to obtain one upon hire) * Ability to work as part of a collaborative, supportive team * CPR/First Aid certification is a bonus Sound like a good fit?
