Position Summary Quantum Marine Stabilizers is a world leader in marine motion control systems for luxury yachts, commercial vessels, and military craft. As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of technically complex projects involving the design, manufacture, and installation of cutting-edge stabilizer systems. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, shipping, and commissioning teams and directly with clients and shipyards to deliver systems that redefine onboard comfort. Core duties include but are not limited to the following: Provide engineering and project support to: * Sales, for technical content and accuracy of sales quotes. * Production and Materials teams, to ensure material requisition and production continue according to schedule and quality requirements. * Commissioning, Warranty, and Service teams, to address project and product related issues and to interpret and relay pertinent information. * Marketing, for website and product literature updates. Report on project progress and communicate relevant information to Manager on a weekly basis or as needed. Attend various boat and trade shows to assist marketing and sales team with product knowledge. Ensure continual accuracy of equipment placement within the vessel per the customer's specifications. Ensure each new equipment sale is properly configured, and customer specific requirements are internally communicated. Verifying with the engineering department to confirm technical feasibility. Review and interpret contracts for technical and commercial content, accuracy, and required regulations with the support of the engineering department. Track costs, wastes, and other budgetary elements through each project lifecycle to create costing reports at the conclusion of each project. Communicate internally to troubleshoot and problem solve all technical, scheduling, and supply issues. Internally define and review the scope of supply and parts required to ensure technical and contractual compliance. Compile technical drawings and technical documentation, towards the final technical manual with final review and revisions of the technical manual documents or engineering package. Preform Quality Checks on built equipment to ensure it meets company standards and job specific specifications. Maintain customer relationship as point of contact regarding any updates on the project status as well as providing technical information. Actively communicating with customers to discover any potential project delays the company is not yet aware of. Maintain customer database systems with accurate information as it pertains to installed equipment specific to each project. Track and monitor the status, stage, and deliveries of each project. Manage companywide tracking tools according to project status, timelines updates, and unexpected delays. Identify, escalate, and resolve critical issues to minimize project risk factors. Maintain the highest engineering and ethical standards. EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE * Bachelor of Science degree in any engineering discipline is required. * Marine background and experience is required. * 3-5 or more years of working experience in appropriate discipline is required. * Ability to read, analyze, review, and interpret hydraulic, mechanical and other technical drawings, documents, regulations, and journals is required. * Experience and proficiency of 3D CAD software is required; AutoCAD or SolidEdge knowledge is required. * Proficiency in the following programs is preferred: Rhino, MathCAD, MATLAB, Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Project. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. Travel Requirements: This role requires occasional travel (approximately 10-15%) to customer sites, including shipyards in domestic and international locations. A valid passport and driver's license are required. Work Hours: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On rare occasions, additional hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required to meet project deadlines.
