Company Overview - PALM BEACH TOWERS, a subsidiary of Viking Yacht Company, is seeking a Service Advisor for it's Riviera Beach location. Job Summary: Solicit, receive, investigate and respond to customer inquiries regarding sales and service of tower and fiberglass fabrication for yachts. Provide quotations, develop contracts and schedule work to be performed and follow- through to completion and delivery. Schedule subcontractors as necessary for completion of work. Ensure work order is prepared, and work is completed within budget and schedule. Works under the direction of the Service Manager. As a Service Writer at Palm Beach Towers, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between our customers and service department. This position is essential for ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and support for their luxury yachts and boats, contributing to our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities 1. Speak with customers by phone, email and in person concerning work to be performed and create quotations, contracts, and work orders as necessary. 2. Confirm type of payment with owner or owner's representative. 3. Provide recommendations for new work and repairs. 4. May troubleshoot problems remotely with owner or owner's representative. 5. Develop material list for project completion and forward to purchasing. 6. Ensure parts are in stock to complete the work and schedule production when parts are available. 7. Schedule qualified service technician and subcontractors to perform work as necessary. 8. Call customers advise them on progress, schedule for performance of work, change orders, and delivery of product. 9. Continually review and follow-up on work performance and completion schedule. 10. Update and close work orders in a timely manner. 11. Review invoices to ensure billing accuracy against work performed. 12. Meet with customer to review charges and collect payment as necessary. 13. Maintains up-to-date-knowledge on operating systems utilized on Viking boat models. 14. Attend boat shows and events to showcase products and build sales. 15. Will have regular client contract requiring exceptional customer service communication skills. 16. Follow defined instructions and procedures in performance of tasks. 17. Follow defined safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area. 18. All work to be performed to Palm Beach Towers' quality standards. 19. Perform other related duties as necessary. Qualifications: Associate of Science in Business, Sales and Marketing or related degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. Marine trade and boating knowledge preferred. Captain's license preferable. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other custom computer programs with excellent keyboarding skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts and interpret technical and financial instructions. Ability to read and interpret contractual documents as well as blueprints, designs. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
