Summary: We are seeking a skilled Landscape Designer/Estimator to join the Stone Cross team! The right candidate will be responsible for preparing unique, detailed and creative landscape designs and solutions for residential and commercial clients. Residential backyards are what we specialize in so there will be emphasis on residential projects. The right candidate should be able to initially meet with a client, prepare a design and estimate based on there meetings and site visit, present the proposal to the client, and ideally sell the project. Principal Responsibilities: * Identify clients wants and needs in their landscape projects * Offer creative landscape ideas and solutions * Perform thorough site analysis * Measure properties and create scaled base maps * Create uniquely desirable, artistic and inspirational landscape designs * Produce accurate estimates and prepare detailed proposals for each project * Present designs and proposals to clients in both person and virtual formats * Procure/Purchase materials needed to complete your projects * Provide excellent customer service and facilitate a great client experience * Work with construction teams to ensure successful implementation of your projects * Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings Requirements: * Preffered* BA or Associates degree in Landscape Design and/or Horticulture or Landscape Architecture * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills * Must be detail oriented and possess project management skills * Strong organization and planning skills * Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work * Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure * 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape design/sales * Possess knowledge of Iowa horticulture * Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, UVision (or similar design programs) * Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean record * Must possess expertise in landscape construction methods and materials * Must be able to create and read blueprints Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Opportunities for advancement * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Retirement plan * Safety equipment provided * Vision insurance License/Certification: * Driver's License (Required) Ability to Commute: * West Des Moines, IA 50265 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * West Des Moines, IA 50265: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
