Optometric office on Pearland Pkwy and Beltway 8 has an excellent opportunity for an experienced optician / contact lens specialist. Experience in customer service, multiple phone lines, insurance verification, optical, contact lenses, and insurance billing strongly encouraged. Duties: - Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features - Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists - Recommend appropriate lens materials, frames, and lens coatings based on customers' needs and preferences - Adjust and repair eyewear as needed - Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance - Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses - Maintain accurate records of customer information and transactions Experience: - Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role preferred - Knowledge of retail math and sales techniques - Familiarity with aseptic technique for handling contact lenses - Understanding of medical billing processes related to vision care services If you have the necessary skills and experience to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.
