Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Clerk to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of automotive title and registration experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position is critical to ensuring accurate and timely processing of all motor vehicle documents in compliance with state regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Process all new and used retail/lease deals for title and registration * Prepare and submit DMV paperwork and ensure compliance with all state requirements * Verify accuracy of all documents including titles, registrations, odometer statements, and payoff information * Maintain electronic and physical records in accordance with dealership policies * Communicate with customers, sales staff, banks, and DMV agencies regarding registration and title status * Handle corrections, reassignments, and problem resolution for rejected or returned paperwork * Reconcile vehicle invoices and verify proper payment and lien documentation * Assist with wholesale transactions and dealer trades as needed * Monitor timelines to ensure all documents are processed within required deadlines * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state motor vehicle laws and DMV changes Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years of DMV or motor vehicle processing experience in a dealership environment (required) * Strong understanding of state title and registration regulations * Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills * Ability to handle high volumes of paperwork and prioritize tasks * Proficient in DMS software and dealership systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc. preferred) * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality Benefits: * Competitive pay based on experience * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Retirement plan options (401k if applicable) * Paid time off and holidays * Growth and advancement opportunities Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Education: * High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: * Motor Vehicle: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
