Job Summary We are a pipe/valve/fitting distributor searching for a FULL TIME Counter sales representative. Responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of orders. Answer questions and provides info as needed. Generate sales through excellent customer service, add-on and up-selling. Responsibilities and Duties * Promptly assist customers. Ask pertinent questions, provide information they may need, take orders and provide excellent customer service. * Data entry and retrieval on computer system, including entering of customer orders, branch transfers, obtain quote info, inventory info and pricing. * Follow up on customer orders, resolve issues to customer's satisfaction, respond to customers in a timely manner * Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, taking orders and provide excellent customer service *Provide product quotes * Continuously update product knowledge through available resources. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and availability. Know location of material in warehouse. * Effectively communicate to customers any relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc. * Accurately fill customers' orders as needed Qualifications and Skills * Prior industry (industrial, plumbing, waterworks) experience is a PLUS * Data Entry Skills * Customer Service * Microsoft Office and Adobe * Time management skills * Strong work ethic and dependability * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Attention to detail is a must!
